OLE GUNNAR SOLSKJAER has won all eight of his games as Manchester United boss - with club legend Sir Alex Ferguson requiring 19 matches to reach that tally.

However, his start to life at United didn't go too smoothly, failing to win 11 of his first 19 matches.

Meanwhile, Solskjaer has taken over at the club he starred at as "The Baby-Faced Assassin" with little pressure and no promises over a permanent role.

But the Norwegian's name is firmly in the hat for the full-time job after his 100 per cent start to life back at his old club.

Whether it be Premier League or FA Cup, Solskjaer has led his United to win after win - with the players looking reborn on the pitch.

But Ferguson has proven that perhaps club boards act too swiftly these days, taking 19 matches to rack up win No8.

Solskjaer's record is set to be tested in February though, with the games coming thick and fast.

With both the Premier League and Champions League - as well as FA Cup clash with Chelsea - United have SIX games in just 24 days next month.
