Solskjaer has won all eight of his games as Man Utd boss… it took Fergie 19 matches to win same amount of matches
OLE GUNNAR SOLSKJAER has won all eight of his games as Manchester United boss - with club legend Sir Alex Ferguson requiring 19 matches to reach that tally.
Fergie won an unparalleled 13 Premier League crowns during his time at Old Trafford and is arguably the greatest football manager of all time.
However, his start to life at United didn't go too smoothly, failing to win 11 of his first 19 matches.
Meanwhile, Solskjaer has taken over at the club he starred at as "The Baby-Faced Assassin" with little pressure and no promises over a permanent role.
But the Norwegian's name is firmly in the hat for the full-time job after his 100 per cent start to life back at his old club.
Whether it be Premier League or FA Cup, Solskjaer has led his United to win after win - with the players looking reborn on the pitch.
Paul Pogba, Marcus Rashford and Alexis Sanchez are just three stars who have shone in the attack-minded approach of the Molde and former Cardiff boss.
Elsewhere in United history, Jose Mourinho took 13 games to reach eight wins, ahead of David Moyes who needed 14 matches.
Louis van Gaal reached the eight-win mark after 16 clashes, while Ron Atkinson was one behind on 17.
But Ferguson has proven that perhaps club boards act too swiftly these days, taking 19 matches to rack up win No8.
