Arsenal in talks to sign PSG midfielder Christopher Nkunku on season-long loan to help boost top four hopes
ARSENAL are reportedly keen on signing Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Christopher Nkunku for the rest of the season.
Unai Emery has so far been frustrated in his attempts to sign Denis Suarez from Barcelona due to a lack of funds.
And claims he has turned to former club PSG in a bid to bolster his engine room.
The reported deal would see Nkunku, 21, arrive on loan until June and would not include an option to buy.
But the Parisians would apparently need to sign a replacement before sanctioning an exit for one of their young talents.
France Under-21s star Nkunku has played 43 times over the last two seasons after breaking into the first-team squad.
Nkunku has played alongside Matteo Guendouzi in the French youth set-up.
In a boost for the Gunners, Henrikh Mkhitaryan has returned to training.
But the Armenian midfielder, who has been out since December 19, is unlikely be fit to face former club Manchester United.
Emery’s side take on their rivals in the FA Cup fourth round tomorrow night.
