FULHAM have launched an ambitious bid to land Juventus centre-back Mehdi Benatia.
Claudio Ranieri's men are seven points adrift of safety, and have the Premier League's worst defensive record with 51 goals conceded in 23 games.
Now the Italian hopes to raid his homeland for Morocco international Benatia.
The defender has fallen out of favour at the Old Lady.
The 31-year-old has made just five Serie A appearances for the champions this season.
However he boasts an impressive CV, having previously played for Bayern Munich, Roma and Udinese.
The France-born defender began his career with Marseille, and also had spells with fellow French outfits Tours and Clermont.
He has won two Serie A titles with Juve and two Bundesliga crowns at Bayern, as well as 55 Morocco caps.
