Aguero, De Bruyne and Mahrez join Man City kids on train to Burton… despite being 9-0 up in Carabao Cup
MANCHESTER CITY took the train to Burton ahead of tonight's Carabao Cup semi-final second-leg - with a host of stars making the trip.
Sergio Aguero, Kevin De Bruyne, Riyad Mahrez were all seen waiting at the station ahead of their two-hour train - despite a massive 9-0 aggregate lead.
Man City stormed to a massive first-leg advantage at the Etihad, but Pep Guardiola appears ready to field a strong team in Burton tonight.
Young stars like Phil Foden and Felix Nmecha are expected to start the game - and were seen standing on the platform today - alongside Luke Bolton, Arijanet Muric and Philippe Sandler.
Gabriel Jesus scored four in the first leg, to go with goals from Mahrez, De Bruyne, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Kyle Walker.
And Jesus was seen en route to Burton today, with Brewers boss Nigel Clough admitting his side are "playing for pride".
Clough said: "It will be about little milestones, and pride of course.
"If one of our players could score against one of the best teams in Europe then that would be a milestone for us."
Benjamin Mendy was seen making his way for the trip with Guardiola revealing he's missed the left-back during his injury rehab.
The City boss said: "I miss him a lot. I have a feeling he can give us something extra and hopefully in the last part of the season, we can use him.
"When he pushes from the outside, he is unstoppable and especially in the last third. He is so clever."
Guardiola also suggested he will make many changes to his starting XI - and De Bruyne WILL start.
The Spaniard said: "Some players need rhythm and are going to play.
"We are going to play some youngsters and some will be on the bench.
"Two or three will play and two, three or four will be on the bench, but Kevin is going to play."
