Nantes postpone French Cup match with Emiliano Sala feared dead in plane crash
NANTES' French Cup clash tomorrow night is postponed after the disappearance of Emiliano Sala, who is feared dead.
The Ligue 1 club are in shock after their player was on a flight that vanished over the English Channel.
Police have confirmed that Sala, 28, was on board a Piper Malibu plane that lost contact around 8.30pm near the Casquets lighthouse off the island of Alderney.
Air Traffic Control confirmed the plane was travelling from Nantes in Western France to Cardiff when it vanished.
Sala completed a £15million move from Nantes to the Bluebirds last week, with Neil Warnock's side looking to win their relegation fight by bringing in the forward.
Nantes were due to face L'Entente in the Coupe de France on Wednesday night, but the match is now off.
