reports that Valencia, who is still United captain despite falling down the pecking order, ideally wants to finish his career at Old Trafford.

But with no contract offer on the table and the 33-year-old behind the likes of Diogo Dalot and Ashley Young for the right-back slot, he is expecting to move on in the summer.

He has started just one game since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over as interim boss.

And while his desire to leave is believed to have lessened since Jose Mourinho was sacked, his ten-year spell with the Red Devils is coming to an end.

United have not triggered the 12-month automatic extension in his current deal, which has alerted Inter Milan to his availability.

The Red Devils have already used the option to keep David De Gea and Anthony Martial for a further 12 months.

But the club have not shown any intention to make an offer to either Valencia or Phil Jones.

Valencia joined United from Wigan in 2009, and has featured in 338 games for the Red Devils during his ten-year career at Old Trafford.

Initially playing as a winger, he was converted into a first-choice right-back by Sir Alex Ferguson, and given the captain armband by Jose Mourinho.

But following a fallout with the Portuguese manager he lost his place in the squad.
