CHELSEA are reportedly hoping to convince Callum Hudson-Odoi his future lies at Stamford Bridge rather than Bayern Munich.

The German giants have made a £35million bid for the 18-year-old, who broke into Maurizio Sarri’s first-team squad at the start of the season.

Hudson-Odoi has just 18 months to run on his Blues contract and has so far not responded to Chelsea’s offer of a new deal.

It’s believed he is keen to follow in the footsteps of pals Jadon Sancho and Reiss Nelson by making a name for himself in the Bundesliga.

But Goal claims Chelsea have no intention of responding to Bayern’s offer right now in the hopes they can persuade Hudson-Odoi to stay.

The youngster has seen opportunities increase in recent weeks, with the likes of Alvaro Morata, Olivier Giroud and Ruben Loftus-Cheek all suffering injury setbacks.

Since December, he has featured in two Premier League games, one Europa League game, one FA Cup game and one Carabao Cup game, with three of them being starts.

Chelsea chiefs believe that a show of confidence in Hudson-Odoi’s abilities will convince the teenager he can play a crucial role in the first team.

Sarri himself recently admitted the winger was on the same level as experienced midfielders Willian and Pedro.

However, Chelsea’s cause has not been helped by the £58m capture of Borussia Dortmund’s Christian Pulisic.

Eden Hazard is also wanted by Real Madrid, and Hudson-Odoi now faces a tough decision as he targets a spot in Gareth Southgate’s England set-up.
