Argentine lunged in on the legendary hardman before the gaffer showed him how it's done

GONZALO HIGUAIN has shown Chelsea just what they are missing out on after a savage training tackle on AC Milan boss Gennaro Gattuso.

The Argentine forward, 31, suddenly looks set to stay at the San Siro after Milan refused to allow him to join the Blues on loan this month.

Instead, the Serie A giants are demanding a permanent £32million deal, with Maurizio Sarri set to pass.

But Higuain has shown his former boss at Napoli the kind of grit he could have expected if they’d been willing to loosen the purse-strings.

In a routine training session, AC Milan’s stars can be seen participating in a rondo passing drill.

However, when the balls gets to notorious hardman and manager Gattuso, Higuain lunges in with an eye-watering tackle from behind.

Never one to be outdone, the 73-cap former Italy international showed Higuain how it’s done with a crunching two-footed lunge on his Milan team-mate.

But it was all in good spirits as the upbeat San Siro stars run off in hysterics, proving life under Gattuso is never dull.

Meanwhile, Gattuso has been outspoken recently in his desire to quash Higuain’s move to London.

The former Real Madrid striker is currently on loan at AC Milan from Juventus for the season – with an obligation to pay £32m for him on a permanent deal in the summer.

Gennaro Gattuso’s tackle was arguably worse than Higuain’s was on him

Despite FFP fears, Gattuso clearly wants to keep hold of Higuain, saying: “There is some chatter about him at the moment.

“But I see how he trains, the availability that he gives me and the professionalism he puts in.

“I hope he stays as long as possible – if it does not, we’ll see. [His] professionalism for me will not be a problem.”
