GONZALO HIGUAIN has been spotted hiding Nutella treats... after Juventus rejected Chelsea's loan bid today.

The Blues were dealt a huge blow earlier today after Juve demanded a permanent £32million deal for the Argentine star.

Now a picture of Higuain, 31, attempting to hide a box of sweets behind his leg has been doing the rounds on social media.

The former Real Madrid star can be seen holding a box of Nutella B-ready snacks - which are 50 per cent sugar - surrounded by his San Siro team-mates.

Chelsea have been on the hunt for an out-and-out centre-forward this month, with Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud both failing to impress.

Maurizio Sarri was hoping for a reunion with Higuain on-loan - with Morata heading the other way - with a view to a permanent deal in the summer.

As things stand, AC Milan will be instead forced to pay Juventus the £32m on Higuain - as the two sides have travelled to Saudi Arabia for their Italian Super Cup clash.

Sarri spent one season with the Argentine striker at Napoli during the 2015-16 campaign, where Higuain netted a Serie A-record 36 goals in 35 appearances.

Napoli then sold their star man to Juventus, where he was later was forced out of Turin due to the arrival Cristiano Ronaldo in the summer.

Chelsea had hoped to capitalise on the uncertainty surrounding Higuain but now must go back to the drawing board.

If the Blues fail to land Higuain, Bournemouth hitman Callum Wilson is also on Chelsea's radar, but Eddie Howe’s side could demand a huge figure for the England striker.

However, one ray of hope for Sarri is the fact Milan are scrambling to sign a new striker... Manchester United and Blues reject Radamel Falcao.

Meanwhile, Morata is reportedly a target for Barcelona and Atletico Madrid - and was reportedly spotted in Spain with his agent.

The striker was left out of the squad for Saturday's narrow win over Newcastle.
