The Austrian is understood to be keen on making the move after his brother issued a statement calling on West Ham to accept the offer.

And after he played in the Hammers' 1-0 win over Arsenal, boss Pellegrini said he doesn't know how much longer he will be able to call on the 29-year-old.

Pellegrini said: "We will see what happens in the next few days.

"I repeat, the club must see what is best for the club, the player, for everyone

"I hope they will take the decision that works for everyone."

Arnautovic was taken offer in the second half of the win over Arsenal, which Pellegrini insisted was because the forward was still being troubled by a slight injury.

He added: "Marko felt the same pain in his back as he did in the cup."

As Arnautovic walked to the bench he took off his gloves and then made a point of waving to the West Ham fans.

And some took to social media to express fears that those waves was the crowd favourite saying his goodbyes.
