The Old Trafford top brass have not budged on their stance Pogba is not for sale, but the potential inclusion of the Brazilian winger as part of a deal could get them around the table for talks.

United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward is demanding at least £73million.

But with Costa thrown in, Juve hope to significantly lower that figure to seal the deal.

Pogba quit United for Juve in 2012 and went on to win four Serie A titles and two Coppa Italia titles.

Costa, 28, has been a long-term target for United with reports a deal was in place for the winger before Mourinho’s exit last month.
