Diego Godin and new wife Sofia Herrera donate all their wedding gifts to charity

DIEGO GODIN married his long-term girlfriend Sofia Herrera on Wednesday - and to spread the joy the couple reportedly decided to donate ALL their wedding gifts to charity.
His team-mate Antoine Griezmann and Barcelona's Luis Suarez were amongst the guests attending the ceremony in Montevideo, Uruguay.
Godin married Sofia, 25, a decor student and the daughter of Pepe Herrera - a former Penarol player.
And reports that the happy couple came up with a noble gesture and donated all their wedding gifts to charity.
The donation will be made to Hospital Pereira Rossell in Montevideo helping prematurely born babies.
It was not the only good deed Godin did while he was preparing to tie the knot.
He reportedly booked an entire hotel for guests invited to attend the ceremony.
World Cup winner Griezmann, fellow Uruguayans Suarez and Diego Forlan, as well as team-mate Koke were all among the attendees.
Especially the Frenchman caught the fans' attention when he landed at the Carrasco International Airport in Montevideo.
He was greeted by many supporters and the La Liga star was keen on posing to photos.
The Spanish league entered a winter break with Barcelona leading the table and Atletico sitting in second, three points behind the Catalans.
Diego Simeone's men will return to action on January 6 when they travel to third-placed Sevilla.
