NABY KEITA hobbled off after 58 minutes of Liverpool's game at Wolves this evening to add to Jurgen Klopp's injury crisis.
The midfielder appeared to be holding his ribs as he came off - suggesting a possible elbow to the body - and was replaced by Adam Lallana.
Just before Mohamed Salah opened the scoring after 18 minutes, Keita also took a whack on the top of the foot from Matt Doherty.
But boss Klopp is not too worried and said: "He had a proper cut on his foot. And he had another knock to his ribs. Two things that are painful but I don't think it will be a problem."
Lallana came on to make only his fifth Premier League appearance of the season as he continues to battle groin injuries and poor form.
Meanwhile for Keita, he has still only completed 90 minutes twice in the league this season since he arrived from RB Leipzig.
He missed four matches earlier in the season with a hamstring strain suffered in the 1-0 away defeat to Napoli.Since returning on November 11 in the win at Fulham, he has been absent for just one game.
Like fellow midfielder Fabinho, he looked to be adjusting to life on Merseyside well after his big-money move this summer.
But fans will be worried his tendency to pick up injuries is a cause for concern, especially ahead of a busy Christmas fixture list.
Defenders Joel Matip, Joe Gomez and Trent Alexander-Arnold are already out meaning James Milner is filling in at right-back.
Liverpool took the lead at Molineux thanks to Salah's neat finish.
He ghosted into the box and turned Fabinho's low cross in with outside of his boot.
The Egyptian then turned provider for Virgil Van Dijk who made it 2-0 with a cushioned volley and that was how it finished, meaning Liverpool will be top on Christmas Day.
