Marouane Fellaini takes out steward with ‘worst shot of season’ as Man Utd lose at rivals Liverpool

MAROUANE FELLAINI knocked a steward off his chair with a shot during Manchester United’s loss to Liverpool.
The Belgian’s effort, which was just one of six attempts on goal from the Red Devils, smashed into a spectating steward on the sidelines.
His strike came in the second half as the Red Devils tried to claw their way back into the game.
But once again Mourinho’s side were powerless to avoid defeat at the hands of Jurgen Klopp’s rampant Reds – who are now 19 points adrift of their bitter rivals.
And Fellaini’s attempt sent fans from all over into frenzy.
One fan wrote: “RIP to the brave steward that protect the fans in the corner flag from Fellaini’s wayward shot. This win is for you”.
While another said: “Worst shot of the season by fellaini?”
Another baffled fan said: “LFC highlight. Tyler getting excited with Fellaini’s shot that knocked a steward off his perch behind the corner flag”.
It’s now clear Many United fans have reached the end of their tether with their Portuguese chief.
And Fellaini’s shot only riled up Red Devil fans more about Mourinho’s decision to bench Paul Pogba.
One fan said: “That Fellaini’s shot at the 8 yard out which got closer to the corner flag than the post tells you how Mourinho prefers stupid players to the intelligent ones”.
While another said: “Can’t get over that Fellaini shot near the end, we’ve got a World Cup winner sitting on the bench while the guys on the pitch are trying to hit corner flags instead of the goal.”
After the loss, Man Utd have now conceded more goals this season (29) then they did for the whole of last season.
They have a goal difference of 0 heading into the busy festive schedule.
