Alvaro Morata has failed to live up to his £60million billing with just five Premier League goals this term.

Olivier Giroud has not done the business either scoring five goals all season - with just one strike in the league.

The report Sarri has set his sights on the 26-year-old whose pace will provide another dimension to Chelsea's attack.

Wilson has scored eight goals and provided five assists in 15 Prem appearances and is expected to be fit for the Cherries' trip to Wolves after recovering from a hamstring injury.

The forward has hit 52 goals in all competitions since joining Bournemouth from Coventry four years ago.

And his form this season was rewarded with an England call-up and goal on his international debut against the USA last month.

Despite Chelsea’s interest, Cherries boss Eddie Howe will fight to keep his forward at the Vitality Stadium.

He said: “Callum is focusing on his football and we are not anticipating losing any players in January we don’t want to.

"He seems very happy, he has a spring in his step, he is buzzing around the training ground and there is a very good feel about him."

And Howe reckons the £3m the club shelled out for Wilson shows what a shrewd bit of business it was at the time.

Howe added: “The fee at the time was discussed as a lot of money but when you compare it to fees now it looks a snip, doesn’t it?"
