David De Gea backs Jose Mourinho and blames Manchester United’s flop players for poor season

DAVID DE GEA has backed his boss Jose Mourinho and blamed Manchester United's flop players for their poor form this season.
The Red Devils are currently eighth in the league and have only won six of their opening 14 fixtures - with their latest poor show a 2-2 draw with struggling Southampton on the weekend.
And Mourinho's men are are in desperate need of a result against Arsenal to ensure their top four target is within reach.
The Portuguese recently back-tracked on his claims that his side need a miracle to make top four - saying they have been unlucky in many matches this term.
Now, shot-stopper De Gea, who was speaking to BT Sport ahead of his side's mouthwatering clash against Arsenal, has claimed his side's poor form has to lie with the players on the pitch.
He said: "He is the coach. We have to be united. The players, coaching staff and the coach. We're all pulling in the same direction and moving forward together.
"There might be a lot of criticism of the coach but the ones that go out on the pitch are the players, the ones that score the goals are the players and we have to think about what we can do to improve.
"It's been a bad season so far to be honest. We're in a poor league position.
"We're Manchester United and we should be challenging for the title. We're very far behind and it'll be impossible to win it.
"Our aim is to qualify for the Champions League."
In contrast to United, Arsenal have been on stunning form of late under their new manager Unai Emery.
The high-flying Gunners stretched their unbeaten run to 19 with their brilliant 4-2 victory over their bitter rivals Tottenham on the weekend.
And many are expecting their run to continue with another good result against Man Utd.
