RANGERS have been linked with a January loan swoop for Everton youngster Kieran Dowell.
Steven Gerrard is keen to strengthen his squad in January as he looks to keep Gers at the top of the Premiership table.
And according to the , he is considering a bid to land 21-year-old Dowell.
The creative midfielder has only played for the Toffees twice this season in the Carabao Cup.
But he made 43 appearances on loan at Nottingham Forest last season, scoring ten goals including a penalty in the 4-2 FA Cup win over Arsenal.
Gerrard watched Dowell in the flesh earlier this season.
And he will have been impressed as the ace scored the second goal in England Under-21s' 2-0 win over Scotland's kids at Tynecastle.
Dowell made his Everton debut at the age of just 17 in December 2014 when he came on as a sub in a 1-0 Europa League defeat to Krasnodar.

He made two Premier League appearances the following season, one a start in a 3-0 win over Norwich.
