Isco refuses to shake Real Madrid boss Solari’s hand as Premier League move edges closer

The Spain international's relationship with the coach is at rock bottom and a move away is in the offing

ISCO's future at Real Madrid looks increasingly uncertain after it was revealed he snubbed a handshake with manager Santiago Solari.

The Spain international has barely figured under Solari and was left-out of Los Blancos' squad entirely for the Champions League win at Roma.

understand that among the reasons for Isco's omission was his failure to acknowledge the coach after the 3-0 La Liga loss to Eibar.

Real are languishing in sixth in the table, six points adrift of leaders Sevilla following a turbulent campaign.

Solari was appointed to replace Julen Lopetegui on a caretaker basis but was installed as the permanent boss earlier this month.

But amid a minor up-turn in Real's fortunes, his relationship with Isco is at breaking point.

The 26-year-old has not started a single game in all competitions since Solari's arrival, and the pair got off to a bad start when Isco open criticised the coach in training.

Other reports have claimed that Solari is unhappy with Isco's fitness.

He underwent surgery to treat appendicitis, but he was rushed back by Lopetegui after just four games in an effort to turn around the club's poor run of results.

When asked about Isco's issues at the Bernabeu, full-back Marcelo suggested "it's all about work" - a possible hint that Isco is not applying himself in training.

Whether Isco would fit into Solari's 4-3-3 system is also up for debate, with Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema and Lucas Vasquez selected to lead the attack against Roma.

Nevertheless, with reports that Isco's relationship with Solari is "broken" being followed by suggestions he snubbed the boss last weekend, speculation he could leave the Spanish capital is only likely to swell.

Reports in Spain and Italy have linked Manchester City and Juventus with an interest in Isco.

Juve want to reunite the player with Cristiano Ronaldo while Pep Guardiola's men are understood to see Isco as key to transferring their domestic dominance into the Champions League.

Chelsea are also said to be monitoring the future of Isco, whose contract at Real runs until 2022.
