He will meet United top brass this week to discuss  their plans and whether he will be sold in January.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is a fan after working with Bailly at Espanyol, as is Arsenal manager Unai Emery.

Elsewere at Old Trafford, Ashley Young will take a pay cut to seal a new deal at Manchester United.

The full-back, 33, is out of contract in the summer and has been in talks over fresh 12-month terms.

Young, at United for seven years, currently earns around £130,000 a week but has now been offered a lower basic of just under six figures.

Yet he could still get close to his current salary with various bonuses, dependent on success and appearances, and there is unlikely to be a problem with his signing.

Young joined United from Aston Villa in a £17million deal and was originally a winger, but has been converted with some success to full-back in recent seasons.

Manchester United target £60m Jordan Pickford as David De Gea’s replacement

EXCLUSIVE By Alan Nixon

MANCHESTER UNITED will bid for Jordan Pickford to replace David De Gea.

The Spanish keeper’s Old Trafford exit looks more inevitable with each passing week as he refuses to commit to a long-term deal that has been on the table for months.

England No 1 Pickford, 24, is seen as perfect replacement to fill his gloves as his displays for club and country prove he has the bottle for the big stage.

De Gea is fancied by Italian giants Juventus, who may try to buy him in the summer or wait a year until he is a free agent.

Old Trafford boss Jose Mourinho has also been in talks with Ander Herrera’s camp, and the Portuguese wants him to stay beyond the summer when his contract also expires.

The Spanish midfielder, 29, is keen to remain at the club, and money will not be a sticking point.

However, he does want more first-team action, after only six starts so far this season.
