Xhaka has enjoyed a bright start to the season after penning a new long-term contract in the summer
ARSENAL’S Granit Xhaka wants to end his career at former club Basel.
The midfielder came through the ranks at his local side before moving to Bundesliga outfit Borussia Monchengladbach in 2012.
Ex-Gunners boss Arsene Wenger shelled out £35million to take him to the Emirates after Euro 2016.
However, the 26-year-old struggled initially, but under Unai Emery is now starting to show his true worth with the help of Lucas Torriera in midfield.
But the 68-cap Swiss international signed a new long-term deal in the summer until 2023 admits he is already looking ahead to an emotional return to his boyhood club.
He told : “Definitely! My career started here and there is a goal, actually, my dream to return someday.
