Real Madrid 2 Valladolid 0: Bernabeu fans whistle their anger at Sergio Ramos, Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema during nervy win
Bernabeu can't forget 5-1 mauling by Barcelona as supporters boo big-name stars before Vinicius Junior rescues Los Blancos
REAL MADRID fans made their stars pay for last week's Hell Clasico.
Legendary skipper Sergio Ramos, Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema received whistles from the Bernabeu crowd at today's 2-0 victory over Real Valladolid - because of Barcelona's 5-1 success last Sunday.
That mauling cost boss Julen Lopetegui his job as it peaked Real's mediocre start to the season.
And one of the worst games for Real fans was still fresh in their minds today.
They whistled as some of their biggest names were read out before kick-off.
And the treatment for long-serving Spain centre-back shocked social media.
One person tweeted: "Ramos getting whistled is something. The other two are more used to it."
Another said of the three players' hostile reception: "Madridistas doing their civil duty."
Some supporters had more mixed feelings, though.
One said: "Usually I am against it but today they deserve whistling."
But a few hit out at "spoilt brat" fans as "truly the worst" - as just months earlier they had been hailing Champions League glory.
They argued that poor current form was just the time the team and fan needed to show unity.
One said: "These players have been poor but whistling them at home is the last thing we need right now."
Real even needed a late double to ease the pressure today as they returned to the top six.
Substitute Vinicius Jr's 83rd minute cross-shot flew into his own net off Kiko Olivas.
Then two pre-match 'villains' combined to seal victory in the final minute.
Benzema was brought down by Fernando Calero and Ramos produced a Panenka penalty down the middle, after waiting for keeper Jordi Masip to dive.
