MO SALAH plotted his move to Liverpool when he left his homeland six years ago, but it took two attempts and £34million to finally make him a Red.
The forward has hailed his move to Liverpool a "dream come true" as it meant finally playing for the club he had long been an admirer of.
The "Egyptian King" told Liverpool's official website that his desire to be at Anfield was so strong that he would often choose to play as a Red on the PlayStation.
The news is likely to be music to Liverpool fans' ears, knowing that the Egyptian international is one of their own and may well commit his long-term future to the club.
Speaking to Liverpool's official website, Salah said: "When I went to Basel from Egypt, I had a plan in my mind that I would hopefully one day come to Liverpool.
"There was a chance before, but at the time it didn't work for both sides.
"When there was interest again last year, I was very interested in coming to Liverpool straight away in my head, but you also have to see what the plan for you is and how you will fit into it.
"The story of me playing as them on my PlayStation is true, sometimes it was as other teams, but most of the time I was Liverpool.
"Back then, I could never have imagined I'd be here one day, but it was always a dream of mine and you have to try and follow them."
Salah's journey to Liverpool included one stint in the Premier League for Chelsea, two in Serie A and one in the Swiss Super League.
The Egyptian ace joined Basel in 2012 and just two years later Liverpool attempted to sign him, before the Blues pipped them to the post.
He struggled to establish himself at Chelsea and was sent on loan to Italy, first with Fiorentina and then to AS Roma- before signing permanently to the Italian side.
Liverpool made their second approach for the star and got their man in June, 2017.
Salah, 26, ran riot during his first season at Liverpool and although his second hasn't got off to the same flying start, he has still scored seven goals in all competitions.
In his first season at Anfield, Salah scored 37 goals and managed a clean sweep of awards, including the Premier League's Golden Boot.
But has struggled with a couple of injury problems since.
Salah is set to attempt to play through the pain barrier against Arsenal this weekend, after wearing a wrist splint this week to protect a tendon injury.
