Arsenal show class with tribute to Tottenham legend Glenn Hoddle in programme ahead of Blackpool clash

ARSENAL showed their class tonight with an emotional message to rival Tottenham legend Glenn Hoddle in their match programme.

The 61-year-old was rushed to hospital on Saturday after suffering a heart attack following an appearance as a pundit on BT Sport.

The ex-England and Spurs legend was saved by a member of studio staff, who gave him CPR before medics arrived.

He is now recovering out of intensive care, and it is understood he will make a full recovering after his horrific ordeal.

And the Gunners decided to pay tribute to Hoddle ahead of their Carabao Cup match against Blackpool.

It read: “All of us at Arsenal would like to wish the very best to Glenn Hoddle after he suffered a heart attack on Saturday.

“Our thoughts are with Glenn and his family at this difficult time and we hope to see him make a full recovery very soon.”

Arsenal went on to win the match 2-1 against Blackpool and will face Spurs in the next round of the Carabao Cup.

Their night was somewhat ruined by the sending off of Matteo Guendouzi who will miss the match against Liverpool this weekend.
