Arsenal boost as Sead Kolasinac returns to full first-team training after two months out with knee injury

ARSENAL have been handed a major boost as Sead Kolasinac returned to full first-team training today after two months out with a knee injury.

Unai Emery was forced to deploy Granit Xhaka at left-back for the win 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace at the weekend.

And it was the Swiss midfielder's foul on Wilfried Zaha that led to Palace's late equaliser from the penalty spot.

Kolasinac's return will be a major lift for Emery and Co, whose 11-game winning streak was brought to an end at Selhurst Park.

The Gunners have been so desperate for left-back reinforcements, Emery is lining-up an £8million swoop for Ajax's Nicolas Tagliafico.

But for now, Kolasinac is edging towards a return, with Arsenal taking on Blackpool in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup tomorrow night.

The Gunners are set to make wholesale changes for the game against the League One outfit in preparation for Saturday's home clash with Liverpool.

Meanwhile, Reiss Nelson has revealed he is open to joining the Premier League exodus to Germany after a flying start to his loan at Hoffenheim.

Nelson is thought to be on Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate's radar after scoring four goals in five games in the Bundesliga.

Nelson said: “At the moment I’m very happy here... I’m playing, I’m scoring."
