Arsenal ace Reiss Nelson open to joining Premier League exodus to Germany, after flying start to Hoffenheim loan
ARSENAL winger Reiss Nelson has revealed he is open to joining the Premier League exodus to Germany after a flying start to his loan at Hoffenheim.
Jadon Sancho is one youngster to have already broken into the England set-up after breaking free from the shackles of the Manchester City reserves.
Now Nelson is thought to be on Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate's radar after scoring four goals in five games in the Bundesliga.
Speaking of his flying start to 2018-19, Nelson said: "I’m liking the Bundesliga. There’s a lot of top, top defenders that you come across.
“It was always going to be a challenge so when I got the offer to come out here I was excited, knowing it was going to be such a big challenge for me.
"As a person and as a player, I wanted to take the next step."
Now Nelson has revealed his early experiences in Germany have opened his eyes a little, but knows he is still an Arsenal player.
Nelson said: “At the moment I’m very happy here... I’m playing, I’m scoring.
"But I’m an Arsenal player at the end of the day, so I have to stay and do my job here, then wherever football takes me I’ll go.”
Nelson signed a new long-term contract at the Emirates in the summer, but was shipped out on loan by Unai Emery, who didn't picture the winger in his first-team plans.
