Man Utd news: Aaron Ramsey Chelsea battle on cards with Arsenal star wanted by rivals
Jose Mourinho and Maurizio Sarri are keen on signing Welshman on free transfer
MANCHESTER UNITED and Chelsea are set to battle it out for Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey.
The Daily Star claims Jose Mourinho and Maurizio Sarri are both keen on adding the Welshman to their ranks.
Ramsey is set to leave Arsenal on a free transfer next summer after the club withdrew a contract offer earlier this month.
And the ace could now be set to join a Premier League rival as early as January.
Ramsey is also able to speak with foreign clubs over a free summer transfer when he enters the final six months of his deal.
It’s believed that Juventus, AC Milan and Valencia are all chasing his signature.
Speaking earlier this week, Ramsey admitted he had no idea why he wasn’t wanted at the Emirates any more.
Ramsey said: “Well, there is no contract on the table at the moment so there is nothing for me to consider.
“We all know that the contract was taken away off the table. I’m not sure exactly why because a few weeks before we sort of agreed and I was ready to sign.
“Something happened, I am not sure exactly what, but that contract is no longer there, or nothing’s on the table.
“Hopefully somebody will come up and tell me why. I’ll accept that if there’s a reason. At the moment, no, I haven’t.
“When the time is right, I probably will find out but that hasn’t happened yet.
“So I just have to get my head down, work hard and try to help this team as much as I can now. We’ll see where that takes me.
“I’m not thinking about anything else apart from playing for Arsenal. The manager just wants me to do the best for this club.”
