Who were Izabela Rosa Lechowicz and Eric Swaffer?

Izabela Rosa Lechowicz and Eric Swaffer were a private plane and helicopter pilots, flying the wealthy from A to B by air.

Eric Swaffer was 53 at the time of his death, while Izabela Lechowicz was 46 when the chopper crashed.

Along with being work colleagues, the pair were also in a relationship outside of the cockpit and said their jobs together were like a "permanent holiday".

What happened?

Leicester City owner Srivaddhanaprabha was known for leaving the King Power Stadium by air, with his helicopter landing on the centre circle of the pitch after matches.

While the Thai billionaire had flown out of the stadium many times before without a problem, an issue with chopper caused it to crash land in the car.

Earlier on Sunday, it was revealed that Swaffer was a hero, saving countless lives as people ran from the oncoming helicopter.

Cameraman Dan Cox said: “The pilot was heroic. That helicopter could have crashed into the stadium, into the media compound where TV crews were packing up, or into the car park where I was.

“He crashed in part of the grounds or car park where there wasn’t anyone. It could have been so much worse if the pilot hadn’t done that.”

Former Miss Thailand contestant Nusara Suknamai and a worker of Srivddhanaprabha's, Kaveporn Punpare, were also on board and died.
