Glenn Hoddle plays Teqball and receives 61st birthday cake before collapsing at BT Sport studio

GLENN HODDLE played Teqball and receives his 61st birthday cake before falling seriously ill at BT Sport studio earlier today.

BT Sport were forced to cancel their Live Score show at the last minute after the shocking news emerged.

Gary Lineker and Jake Humphrey were the first to reveal the incident had occurred.

But now it has emerged Hoddle look fit and well as he enjoyed his birthday on Saturday Morning Sav.

Steve Sidwell and Robbie Savage shared videos on their Instagram stories just moments before Hoddle collapsed.

Following Hoddle's shock collapse, a BT Sport spokesman said: "Earlier today Glenn Hoddle was taken ill at the BT Sport studio.

"Glenn received medical attention on site and he was then taken to hospital. All our thoughts are with Glenn and his family."

On Twitter, Lineker revealed: "Hugely worrying news that Glenn Hoddle collapsed at the BT studios earlier.

"Thoughts are with him and his family. Come on Glenn."

Meanwhile, Humphrey added: ";Our friend & colleague Glenn Hoddle was taken seriously ill at the BT Sport studio this morning.

"For that reason there will be no @btsportscore - but we will be live as usual for the 5.30 ko at Leicester.

"Everyone of us is right with you Glenn, sending love and strength."

The Tottenham legend earned 53 caps for England after starting his career at Spurs, where he stayed for 12 years.

He won the FA Cup and Uefa Cup with Spurs and also played for Monaco, Swindon and Chelsea.

Hoddle also had stints managing Swindon and Chelsea before taking over as England manager in 1996 - leading the Three Lions to the 1998 World Cup in France.
