Alexis Sanchez out of Manchester United clash against Everton with groin injury

ALEXIS SANCHEZ has been officially ruled out of Manchester United's clash against Everton on Sunday with a groin injury.

The Chilean forward, 29, also missed the 1-0 loss to Juventus in the Champions League, with Jose Mourinho confirming Sunday's game comes too soon.

Sanchez has struggled for form this season, scoring just once in nine matches in all competitions for club and country, but the news is still a blow for United.

On Sanchez's status, Mourinho said: "In this moment he's struggling because he's injured and he came on in the Chelsea match to try to help the team.

"But his physical condition was not good and then he had to stop and was not available for Juventus and is not available for tomorrow again."

Mourinho went on to say he feels for Sanchez, who's endured a rocky start to life at Old Trafford since joining in January.

The Special One added: "I don't think is ever an easy situation for a player.

"But this season he had a good start, a good pre-season... and then he was injured.

"Then he came back and was injured again and he is the kind of player that needs to be really, really sharp."

Mourinho was quick to blame national teams for not only Sanchez's injury... but the rest of his squad too.

When quizzed about his threadbare squad, Jose replied: "All of them national team.

"[We were] in a good situation and then after two weeks we lost [Diogo] Dalot In Portugal, [Marouane] Fellaini in Belgium, Alexis with Chile.

"Who else have we lost? McTominay with Scotland."

Meanwhile, reports suggest Sanchez could end his United nightmare this winter... and join star-studded Paris Saint-Germain.
