Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho worried David De Gea could make FREE transfer switch to Juventus

JOSE MOURINHO fears he could lose keeper David De Gea on a FREE to Juventus.

The Italian giants have become masters of snapping up top talent for nothing.

And Juve got a good look at De Gea in their 1-0 Champions League win against Manchester United on Tuesday night.

It is understood the Spaniard, 27, is aware the Turin giants want him when his deal expires next summer.

United do have the option of extending it a further year.

But an Old Trafford source admitted: “De Gea played against his future club on Tuesday.

“Juve are experts in intelligent deals. If United don’t sell him in the summer, Juventus will wait until the end of his contract.”

Juve coach Max Allegri is clearly willing to play a waiting game to nab one of the world’s best keepers for nothing.

That would enrage Old Trafford chiefs, who saw a 19-year-old Paul Pogba lured to Italy in 2012 when his contract ran down.

United spent a then world-record £89m to bring the France ace back in 2016.

De Gea had been widely expected to pen a new long-term deal with United.

But no agreement has been reached and he could be tempted to join Juventus — who have won the last SEVEN Serie A titles.

United may be forced into a cut-price sale next summer, rather than lose him for free 12 months later.

Juve have previously landed superstars Dani Alves, Andrea Pirlo and Sami Khedira for no fees.
