Mesut Ozil becomes highest-scoring German player in Premier League history with strike against Leicester
Gunners superstar side-footed home with his first touch near the end of the first-half clash against the Foxes to take his tally to 30 in the English top flight
MESUT OZIL has become the highest-scoring German player in Premier League history as he put in a sensational performance against Leicester.
The Arsenal superstar cushioned the ball home effortlessly at the end of the first half to enter the record books.
Ozil, who has 30 goals in England's top flight, overtook legendary Spurs striker Jurgen Klinsmann, who finished on 29.
The former World Cup winner, 30, who retired from international duty in July, combined with Hector Bellerin to make history.
Bellerin overlapped Ozil and took the ball back in their beautiful one-two to guide it past Kasper Schmeichel in the Foxes goal.
Ozil then turned on the magic even more with a part in both of Arsenal's other goals.

He celebrated before the ball even found the back of the net after supplying Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang with an assist for the striker's second of the night.
And Ozil combined wonderfully with Bellerin again for Aubameyang's first, threading a ball through the Leicester defence for the Spaniard to then square to the Gabonese hitman.
Fans were loving his display, with one writing: "I can't get that third Arsenal goal out of my head. Ozil's awareness and intelligence, on his day nobody can touch him."
Another posted: "Ozil world class tonight."
