ROSS BARKLEY netted a 96th minute equaliser for Chelsea against Manchester United to spark wild scenes from both sets of dugouts at Stamford Bridge.

Antony Martial's double looked to have won the game for the Red Devils, but the England international fired in from close range much to the anger of Jose Mourinho.

The Special One was left incensed after Blues assistant coach Marco Ianni celebrated in his face, with both sets of dugouts clashing with each other.

Mourinho attempted to chase the Italian down the tunnel, but was blocked by stewards - with players also getting involved in the madness.

Barkley's late strike ensured Chelsea remain unbeaten in the Premier League this season, and have momentarily returned to the summit of the table.

The home side got off to the perfect start when Antonio Rudiger headed home in the 21st minute, after the German defender was failed to be marked by Paul Pogba.

But Martial got United back on level terms with a close range shot in the 55th minute, capitalising on a ricochet from Marcos Alonso.

And the French forward then put the visitors in front with an exquisite curling strike in the 73rd minute, following great work from Juan Mata down the right flank.

Mourinho's team looked to be on course for back-to-back victories in the top-flight, but Barkley capped off a fine week to break United fans hearts.

The ex-Everton ace stabbed the ball home at the death after David Luiz hit the post, and Rudiger had his follow-up saved by De Gea.

Chelsea’s Marcos Alonso goes down for a free-kick… only allowing Anthony Martial to equalise for Manchester United

And as Chelsea's members of staff celebrated the equaliser, Ianni rubbed salt in the wounds of Mourinho by reacting in his face.

Up jumped the Portuguese gaffer as he looked to confront him, with play halted by the referee as the chaos on the sidelines unfolded.

With cries of "f*** off Mourinho" ringing round the stadium, the 55-year-old held up three fingers to the Chelsea supporters, a reference to the three Premier League titles he won with the West Londoners.
