Kop medics are now sweating on his fitness for Saturday’s trip to Huddersfield as Jurgen Klopp’s side defend their unbeaten run in the Premier League.

Keita, 23, had just recovered from a back injury to play for his country.

He was crocked during the Champions League defeat in Napoli and was taken to hospital for treatment - but was available for Liverpool’s next game.

Keita came off the bench for James Milner in the draw against Manchester City and then went on international duty but has now picked up another problem.

The news is a fresh blow for Liverpool who already had concerns over some of their other stars.

Mohamed Salah picked up an injury playing for Egypt while Virgil van Dijk has returned early from the Netherlands camp.

However, the latest news suggests the star duo will be available at the weekend.

James Milner is another concern but the speed of his recovery has been remarkable since tweaking his hamstring against Manchester City in Liverpool's last outing.

He was expected to be out of action until the end of the month but could now recover in time to face Huddersfield.

Sadio Mane is also doubtful for the weekend after breaking his thumb while on Senegal duty.
