Portugal beat Poland 3-2 on Thursday night, with Silva scoring the third and decisive goal and he was subbed off only in the final seconds.

The midfielder cut in from the right and glided past several Poland defenders before taking aim with a rasping drive.

But the 24-year-old will not be involved in the Sunday night friendly away to Scotland.

Pep Guardiola needs to get international players back fit and prepared for the visit of Burnley on Saturday.
