England legend and former Rangers star Paul Gascoigne has Scottish Football Hall of Fame nomination WITHDRAWN
PAUL GASCOIGNE'S Scottish Football Hall of Fame event has been controversially AXED.
SunSport reported last week that the Rangers legend was set to be honoured at a black-tie event at Hampden later this month.
Nominated by the public, Gazza's nomination was then approved by a separate committee.

And it has now been confirmed that the 51-year-old's nomination has been officially withdrawn.
A statement issued by the Scottish Football Hall of Fame said: "Further to consultation with the Chair and members of the Scottish Football Hall of Fame committee, due to a number of factors including ongoing enquiries, and concerns over the state of Paul’s health, it has been decided to withdraw the nomination of Paul Gascoigne at this time from this year’s nomination process."

The England hero is still beloved by the Ibrox faithful and returned to the stadium for a half-time show earlier this year.
