Arsenal legend Paul Merson takes a swipe at Unai Emery’s Gunners… despite current nine-game winning run
Sky Sports pundit has called the North Londoners 'all over the place defensively' and says they're in for a hiding soon
PAUL MERSON has taken a massive swipe at Arsenal... despite their incredible nine-game winning run.
The Sky Sports pundit, 50, has called the North Londoners "all over the place defensively", saying they're in for a real hiding soon.
Merson adds the only thing keeping Arsenal's winning run alive is their ability to score goals... and that may not last.
The ex-Gunners star said: “Sooner or later, they will be on the end of a big score.
"Defensively they are all over the place.
"The one thing that gets them out of trouble is that they’re always going to score goals.
"But defensively, they are just not good enough.”
Arsenal pulled London rivals Fulham apart in their last game, running out 5-1 winners at Craven Cottage.
In fact, the Gunners' last defeat was way back in August, when they slipped to a 3-2 defeat to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
Arsenal next play Leicester at home - in Monday night's kick-off following the international break - as they continue their charge up the Premier League.
