Speculation is rife regarding Ramsey’s Arsenal future after the club withdrew a contract offer.

The midfielder is out of contract next summer and is able to talk with foreign clubs over a free transfer in January.

Emery said: “Ramsey asked me if he can stay in London because his wife is pregnant and they are waiting on the doctors.”

Arsenal will also be without Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (illness) and Petr Cech (hamstring) for the match in Azerbaijan.

But Emery is still set to name a strong line-up as he looks to secure qualification from the group stage as quickly as possible.

Emery added: “The best idea is to think only of the match tomorrow and with the respect for this competition because we want, at the end, to finish first in the group.
