Real Madrid join race for Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey ‘with Gareth Bale asked about Welsh team-mate joining’
Ramsey is out of contract at the Emirates next summer and has not been offered a contract extension
REAL MADRID have entered the race to land Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey, according to reports.
Ramsey, 27, is out of contract at the end of the season and with no offer on the table from the Gunners, the midfielder is set to leave the Emirates next summer.
The European champions are keen to add a goalscoring midfielder to their ranks and see Ramsey as a perfect foil for fellow countryman Gareth Bale.
With the futures of Luka Modric and Toni Kroos uncertain, Los Blancos have earmarked the Welsh international, and could even make their move in January, claim .
Bale has been sounded out about the prospect of the midfield schemer joining him at the Bernabeu over the coming months.
Arsenal could try to offload Ramsey in January and cash in before he can quit as a free agent next summer.

However, Ramsey can sign a pre-contract with an overseas club on January 1.
The Spanish giants will face stiff competition from AC Milan, led by ex-Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis.
Liverpool and Juventus are also monitoring Ramsey’s situation.
The midfielder caused a storm when he snubbed Gunners boss Unai Emery after he was hooked for Alex Iwobi just after the hour in Saturday's 2-0 win over Watford.
