Everton tracking Porto ace Eder Miltao with £17m price tag slapped of Brazilian’s head
Merseyside club tracking central defender who has impressed for the Portuguese club this season following his summer move from Sao Paulo
EVERTON want to sign Brazil international defender Eder Militao but will need to pay £17million to get him in, according to reports.
It is understood Toffees scouts have watched the defender twice in the past two weeks, when he helped Porto earn a 1-1 Champions League draw at Schalke then beat domestic rivals Vitoria Setubal 2-0.
He has shone since joining his Primeira Liga club this summer but according to he could be on the move again as early as January if Everton get their way.
Militao is under contract with Portugal's reigning champions until 2023, who paid Sao Paulo £3.5m for the player in August.
And the Brazilian club are entitled to ten per cent of any sell-on fee.
It is understood the South American would relish the chance to play in the Premier League under a manager who speaks his language and Marco Silva fits the bill.

Versatile Militao can operate at right-back, in central defence or as a defensive midfielder.
The Porto starlet, 20, won his first senior cap for Brazil earlier this month in a 5-0 win over El Salvador.
He played at right-back in the thumping but has operated in the middle of the defence for his club this season.
In his four games this season for club and country, he has conceded just once.
And if he moved to Merseyside, Militao would link up with two other Brazilians at Goodison Park in winger Bernard and record signing Richarlison, who scored twice in the 5-0 win.
