Why are Hugo Lloris and Kasper Schmeichel nominated for Best Goalkeeper but not FIFPro World11?
The two shot-stoppers have been named in the running to be crowned the best man between the sticks for the past year - but will not make the overall team

HUGO LLORIS and Kasper Schmeichel have enjoyed a brilliant year for their respective clubs and countries.
The Tottenham ace won the World Cup with France in the summer, while Danish star Schmeichel has been ever-present for Leicester in goal - and are rewarded with places on Fifa's Goalkeeper of the Year shortlist.
Why are Lloris and Schmeichel not on the FIFPro World11 shortlist?
With five shot-stoppers in the running for the lone spot in the FIFPro World11, you would expect all three listed for the Best Goalkeeper award to be among them.
But, only Real Madrid's ex-Chelsea ace Thibaut Courtois features on both.
This is because the selection committees for the two awards are different.
Fifa's Goalkeeper of the Year will be chosen from a panel of ten former players, including Peter Schmeichel and England's World Cup winner Gordon Banks.
FIFPro is the world's players union, representing each professional footballer.
They send out voting ballots to each of the 68 full and candidate members who distribute to the players to decide the winner.
