CHELSEA star Jorginho attempted 180 passes during today’s West Ham stalemate… the most in Premier League history since records began.
The Italian maestro, 26, completed a stunning 90 per cent of his passes too and had the most touches of any player in this season.
Despite his dominant display at the London Stadium, Jorginho failed to impact the result as Chelsea drew 0-0.
And it could have been worse for the Blues – who conceded their 100 per cent start to the season – too.
Andriy Yarmolenko somehow nodded a flawless Robert Snodgrass cross wide of the mark with the goal at his mercy with just ten minutes to play.
Despite the result, Jorginho stole the show in East London with his fluent display.
Since 2003-04, no player has attempted as many passes as the Italian – who already boasted the second-best record (174) heading into the game.
However, his 180-pass special today overtook Ilkay Gundogan’s impressive display against Chelsea from last season – when he unleashed 174 balls.
Despite the scintillating midfielder performance at the London Stadium, Maurizio Sarri will now focus at the next job at hand.
Having dropped two points today, Chelsea will take on league-leaders Liverpool next weekend with even more to play for.
