PSG star Adrien Rabiot ‘could sign pre-contract with Man City in January’
Frenchman previously spent a year in City's academy and he has less than a year to run on existing deal with Ligue 1 side
PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN star Adrien Rabiot is open to joining Manchester City at the end of the season, according to reports.
The Metro report the midfielder, 23, may even sign a pre-contract with Pep Guardiola's side in January.
Rabiot has less than a year to run on his current deal and talks over a new contract have stalled in recent months.
He has already rejected two new offers from the club.
Rabiot, who was not part of the World Cup-winning squad, spent a year in City's academy but left at the age of 14 because he was homesick.
It is claimed City were very understanding of his predicament and Rabiot has never forgotten their efforts to help him.
Despite his allegiance, City face competition from the likes of Barcelona and Juventus.
If there is no breakthrough in talks then the French side could reportedly accept a cash offer for Rabiot in January.
However, with his contract up in the summer, City are unlikely to bid in the January window.
And they will instead see how strong the star's desire is to move on a free next summer.
