LIVERPOOL legends Michael Owen and John-Arne Riise have reserved special praise for Andrew Robertson at half-time of the game against Paris Saint-Germain.

The Reds took a 2-1 lead into the break thanks to goals from Daniel Sturridge and James Milner.

But it was all eyes on Robertson - and fellow full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold - who ran the show at Anfield, in the Champions League opener.

On the opening goal, scored by recalled Sturridge, Owen said: "The one thing Sturridge has and never will lose, that instinct of where the ball is going to come.

"Robertson’s ball is unbelievable – hitting a moving ball at that angle is amazing in itself. But finding the little space between Thiago Silva is even better."

Meanwhile, Riise added: "Both Liverpool full-backs were fantastic, their crossing was superb.

"There was so much space and the delivery from Robertson to Sturridge was unbelievable."

Elsewhere, Rio Ferdinand also had his say Liverpool's exceptional full-backs at half-time, saying: "From Liverpool’s perspective the first half was fantastic.

"The way they played and used the full-backs Alexander-Arnold and Robertson in the wide areas.

"Especially with the PSG wide players not wanting to or having to defend. They exploited that and both goals came from crosses."
