Mousa Dembele set to quit Tottenham for big-money move to Chinese Super League
Beijing Sinobo Guoan made an attempt to sign the Spurs midfielder earlier this year but are confident they can secure a move
MOUSA DEMBELE is set to quit Spurs for a mega-money switch to China in the January.
Super League side Beijing Sinobo Guoan hope to land him at the second attempt.
They first tried to sign the Belgian midfielder last February during the Chinese transfer window.
Tottenham refused to let Dembele, 31, leave but his reluctance to agree a new deal may force them to sell in January.
Dembele’s contract runs out next summer, which means he can sign a pre-contract with an overseas club in the new year.
Spurs could force him to stay until June but Beijing Guoan want him for the start of their campaign in February.
Sources say they will offer Tottenham between £8million and £10m.
Dembele is being lured with a three-year deal worth £192,000 a week.
Suitors Beijing Guoan, managed by Roger Schmidt, are currently top of the Chinese Super League and have Renato Augusto as one of their permitted overseas players.
The Belgian midfielder has played in all three of Spurs' Premier League games this season and will no doubt feature again in today's clash with Watford at Vicarage Road.
