Hugo Lloris takes wife to brunch in blacked out Porsche as he gets back behind the wheel after drink-drive arrest
Tottenham skipper headed out with Marine to local Hampstead restaurant after getting ribbed during his side's 3-0 win over Manchester United
HUGO LLORIS got back behind the wheel after his drink-driving charge to take his wife out for a bite to eat.
The Tottenham skipper, 31, was spotted cruising in his blacked-out Porsche on his way to get some French grub with missus Marine.
Lloris may have had Manchester United’s fans chants ringing in his ears following his victorious trip to Old Trafford on Monday night.
And the keeper showed he really does “drive when he wants” – as Spurs fans sang – as he took a short trip to his local Le Pain Quotidien in Hampstead, North London on Tuesday.
Snaps appeared to show Lloris having a somewhat quieter time then when he was last pictured out for a meal.
The World Cup-winning skipper was with France pals Olivier Giroud and Laurent Koscielny before he was pulled over by police close to Baker Street in London at 2.20am last Friday.
He spent seven hours in a cell after failing a roadside breathalyser test and will now have to appear before Westminster magistrates’ court next month.
Lloris apologised to his Spurs team-mates and admitted: “It is completely unacceptable.”
He faced a £240,000 club fine but was not stripped of the Spurs captaincy by boss Mauricio Pochettino.
The £120k-a-week star was expected to be fined a fortnight’s wages for breaching the club’s code of conduct.
Lloris admitted yesterday that the 3-0 win at Old Trafford came as a relief at the end of “a tough week”.
He said: “There are always some key moments in the season and I think this game came at the perfect time.
“It was a tough week, especially because of my mistake, but I think the team stayed strong.
“We showed again the togetherness in Tottenham and we made a great, great game against Man United.
“It was a great moment to share with the fans after the game to thank them for their support.”
National team boss Didier Deschamps has shown he does not hold the misdemeanour against Lloris after speaking to his captain and then naming him in Les Bleus’s squad for matches against Germany and Holland.
Deschamps revealed: “I spoke to him on the phone about it.
“Obviously he regrets what he did and something like this should not happen.
“He will learn from it, it doesn’t change the type of man he is.”
