GARY CAHILL is set to return to the Soccer Aid pitch for the 2024 match.

Who is Gary Cahill?
Gary Cahill was born on December 19, 1985.
He began his senior career with Aston Villa in 2008, having spent four years in their academy.
After loan spells at Burnley and Sheffield United, he signed for Bolton Wanderers in 2008.
Cahill's performances during his time at Bolton saw him interest Chelsea, joining the Blues in 2012.
During his six years at Stamford Bridge, he won the Premier League twice, FA Cup, Champions League, and Europa League.
Cahill became Chelsea's captain at the beginning of the 2017-18 season, taking over from the departing John Terry.
He exited Chelsea in 2019 after 191 caps and 13 goals.
He joined Crystal Palace before finishing his career at Bournemouth.

Cahill retired from football in 2022, aged 36.
The defender played for England 61 times, scoring five goals in the process.
He made his debut on September 3, 2010, against Bulgaria, over a year after he received his first call-up.
Cahill then played at two World Cups - in 2014 and 2018 - and made four appearances at Euro 2016.

Cahill has been named in the England squad for Soccer Aid.
It's widely expected that he will return to centre-back at the charity match.
He's well known for his technical abilities in defence and how well he can read the game from the back.

As he will be playing for England squad against the World XI , Cahill will have THREE managers.
Frank Lampard and Harry Redknapp will be bringing their leadership skills, while pop superstar Robbie Williams will be hoping some of his showbiz sparkle will rub off on the players.
