Lionel Messi and fellow La Liga skippers to meet to slate fixture schedule and playing in US

Captains will complain to the Spanish FA about awkward kick-off times for fans and refuse to play games Stateside

LIONEL MESSI and La Liga's other 19 captains are meeting tomorrow to voice their frustration at fixture scheduling and being asked to play in the US.

The players' union are discussing how to word a joint statement on the issues at the Spanish FA's HQ.

They are angry at the spacing over games over a weekend, which runs from Friday to Monday.

Some matches are on so late they technically finish a day after they begin in a nightmare for fans.

Is is likely that El Clasico will be chosen as the game to move for American audiences but it is not just Messi and Sergio Ramos who oppose the plan.

And according to reports in Spain, the 20 skippers are due to voice their concerns, and staunch opposition to crossing the Atlantic, in a statement tomorrow.
