Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino confirms he is prepared to let players leave the club this month

Defender Toby Alderweireld’s future remains uncertain with his contract expiring in just 12 months time.

Left-back Danny Rose has also fallen down the pecking order with Georges-Kevin N’Koudou and Vincent Janssen not part of Pochettino’s plans.

And the Spurs gaffer has conceded he is open to offers for his fringe players if they feel they would be happier elsewhere.

Reported by Sky Sports, he said: “We are going to see if some players believe that they can achieve their goals in another club.

“Maybe they are going to move. Different individual things can happen in the next few weeks.

“If some player is not happy because he needs to play or believes he can play more at another team, or needs to change the environment, or needs a new challenge or motivation, I told them that I am open to find the solution.

“It is so clear the rules. It is so clear my message. I promise I am going to fix it if someone is not happy to be here for the next five months until the transfer window opens again.”

N’Koudou is braced to leave on a season-long loan with a move to German side Mainz on the horizon.

Alderweireld, who was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United, could be offloaded to Germany champions Bayern Munich.

And left-back Rose is wanted by Schalke but is remarkably holding out for a switch to Paris Saint-Germain.
