Luis Suarez reveals £1m-a-year Puma boot deal by starring in Wild West cartoon
Barcelona striker will be one of the faces of the brand alongside Sergio Aguero, Antoine Griezmann and Romelu Lukaku
LUIS SUAREZ has agreed a £1million-a-year move to get his boots supplied by Puma.
The ex-Liverpool striker's decision to move from adidas was announced by his new sponsors today with a Wild West cartoon featuring Suarez as a Clint Eastwood-style gunslinger.
Suarez, 31, will be one of the faces of Puma along with Sergio Aguero, Antoine Griezmann and fellow new recruit Romelu Lukaku.
They also have Olivier Giroud, who has increased in marketing value since becoming a World Cup winner with France.
Suarez’s deal will land him close to £20,000-a-week after more than a decade with adidas.
He was wearing blacked-out boots earlier in the month which hinted at his departure.
And the partnership with Puma is a boost for the manufacturing giants as they also supply kit for Suarez's country Uruguay.
Barca and Suarez begin their title defence against Alaves on Saturday after beating Boca Juniors 3-0 in their final warm-up last night.
